What is Sally’s Baking Challenge?
Sally’s Baking Challenge is a monthly baking tradition that we began in 2017. We started this monthly baking challenge to connect with readers, create a positive baking community, and challenge ourselves (and readers) in the kitchen. Each month, we share a new Sally’s Baking Challenge recipe and encourage readers to bake that recipe during the month. The point is to help you learn new kitchen skills, get creative, and have fun!
How Does Sally’s Baking Challenge Work?
We publish a new challenge recipe on the 1st of each month. We also publish a Baking Challenge post where we announce the winner of the previous month. For example, when we publish the challenge recipe for May, we also publish a blog post called “May Baking Challenge” where we announce April’s winner. Sign up for Sally’s Baking Challenge emails so you’re alerted as soon as a new challenge recipe or post is published.
To enter, make the recipe during that month, then share your recipe photo with us. (See How Do I Enter Sally’s Baking Challenge? next.) At the end of the month, we randomly select 1 winner.
How Do I Enter Sally’s Baking Challenge?
After making the Sally’s Baking Challenge recipe, share your recipe photo with us via email: [email protected]. By emailing your recipe photo, you are automatically entered in the challenge. For a bonus entry, leave a review on the challenge recipe. Feel free to share on social media using #sallysbakingchallenge, but the only way to guarantee you are in the running is sending your entry via email.
Can I Share My Photo Multiple Times for More Entries?
No. Sharing your photo multiple ways counts as one entry. But, leave a review on the challenge recipe for a bonus entry.
How Old Do You Have to Be to Participate?
Though bakers of any age can try these recipes, those younger than 18 should have adult supervision in the kitchen. And we ask that the email address submitting the entry photo belongs to an adult over the age of 18.
I Don’t Live in the USA. Can I Participate?
Yes, anyone can participate.
What Do I Win?
The randomly selected winner receives a $250 Amazon Gift Card.
How Is the Winner Chosen?
Our team keeps track of the entries and randomly selects 1 winner at the end of the month.
When Is the Winner Announced?
The Sally’s Baking Challenge winner is announced in the next month’s baking challenge post. For example, the April Sally’s Baking Challenge winner is announced in a post called May Baking Challenge, which is published on May 1st.
